More Clarkesworld Cover Art

I’ve just posted next month’s cover to the website. “I Got Something on my Head” is Serj Iulian’s second cover for Clarkesworld Magazine. His first, “Cardboard Box” for issue 8, was very well received and it’s a pleasure to be able to work with him again.

Next month’s stories are by Ken Scholes and Rebecca Ore. There will also be non-fiction by Jeff Vandermeer.

Cover art for the next issue

Clarkesworld Magazine‘s thirteenth issue is right around the corner. We’ll have stories by Lisa Mantchev and Kristen Mandigma, but right now I want to focus on the cover art by Naomi Chen.

I’ve worked in education for many years. For about 10 of those, my office was down the hall from the art department. I’ve seen a lot of student art, so I was completely blown away when I found out that Naomi is a college freshman.  I’m impressed.

Toast by Charles Stross

Steve Montiglio has sent us the artwork we’ll be using for the signed limited edition of Charles Stross’ short story collection, Toast. Now, with thanks to some more magic from Mary, we have a book cover. Clicking on the image will take you to our catalog and from there, if you are so inclined, you can get a bigger version of the cover or even order the book.

This is the third cover that Steve has done for one of Charlie’s books. He has also done the Golden Gryphon covers for Atrocity Archives and Jennifer Morgue.

September Clarkesworld Cover

My boys and I like to watch “giant monster flattens city” movies.  When I saw Chen Lin’s “Big Octopus”, I knew I just had to have it.  Now it will be the cover for issue #12 of Clarkesworld Magazine.

Memorare (again)

Here is the cover art for Memorare by Gene Wolfe.  Bob Eggleton emailed me the final version this afternoon and I’m quite pleased. This fits the story very well.

Next up, cover design.

Memorare by Gene Wolfe

Bob Eggleton has posted a preliminary sketch of the cover for the signed limited edition of Memorare!  I’m quite pleased with it how it turned out and he tells me that he might have it finished soon.
