Earthling Publications announces two new books

Earthling Publications will be releasing the 20th Anniversary edition of Dan Simmon’s SONG OF KALI later this year. It will be available as a signed limited edition slipcased hardcover.

Also in 2005, Erik Tomblin’s RIVERSIDE BLUES will be issued as a signed chapbook.

I have mixed feelings about SONG OF KALI. It has been widely praised and considered one of his best works. I wanted to like Song, but I just couldn’t get into it. It’s one of two books by Simmons that I haven’t liked, the other being PHASES OF GRAVITY. I’ve loved everything else I’ve read by him and keep thinking I should go back and give this one another try. What do you think? Is it worth it?

  1. Song of Kali

I guess I’m in the minority too, I ‘ve tried reading SONG OF KALI twice and failed to finish it both times. Looks like Earthling is providing a great cover for it though.
