Brian Keene managed to lose the top spot to himself this week. The Rutting Season hardcover was sold out months ago and we shipped all paid preorders last week, so he has a chance to take the spot back from himself next week.
Started reading Paragaea this weekend. So far, I’m enjoying it. It was momentarily interupted by Tim Powers forthcoming novel, Three Days to Never. I was luck enough to get my hands on an advance copy. Excellent stuff. Not his best, but definitely near the top.

I just read Declare (finally!) a few days ago, and so it thrills me to read about Three Days to Never. In the meantime, thanks to Declare, I’m reading my first Le Carre–The Looking Glass War–and pretty much enjoying it, too.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Powers never disappoints me. You need to track down everything else!

I plan to! The only ones I’ve read, aside from Declare, are The Anubis Gates and The Drawing of the Dark (as well as the short story “Itinerary”). Fantastic works, all of them, in every sense of the term.

LeCarre
Hello, Eldritch —
I apparently have to post as “Anonymous” here. But I wanted to say, LeCarre’s best book, I think, is _Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy._ For years it was the book I brought on long plane flights, until eventually I almost knew it by heart. Next best after that, I think, is _The Spy Who Came in From the Cold._
