Ok, I’ve gone on about this book for a few months now. Yes, it’s the best book I’ve read this year, destined for awards (at least it DAMN WELL BETTER get them) and something you should put on top of your to-be-read pile. It’s a TOR hardcover and may only see a single printing despite earlier news of a second printing. (See Peter’s blog for details.) This is a crying shame.
Can’t find a copy? I still have them here. Can’t afford a copy? Peter just put the whole book under creative commons for a free read here:

Read this book. If you like it, find a copy and buy it. I don’t care where.

Damn you once again Neil.
Add three more books to the pile for me. But a nice surprise I forgot Stross’s Jennifer Morgue came out.

You won’t be sorry you picked up either of those two books.

Bookmarked for later!
Thanks, Neil. 🙂

I agree totally with you about Blightsight. It’s a fantastic book, and Peter is one of my favourite sf writers (his Rifters series is excellent). Thankfully, the latest issue of Interzone gave Blightsight a brilliant review, so that should gain it some of the attention it deserves.
If it is not nominated for awards this coming year there is no justice in the world.

Yeah, I’ve been following Peter’s work since Starfish first came out. I’m not sure why I picked it up, but I’ve been a faithful reader of his since. Blindsight is definitely his strongest work to date.
Forget nominated… this book should win. 🙂
