The April Issue of Clarkesworld Magazine is up a little late and without the cover art. With everything that’s been going on lately, I don’t think anyone is going to begrudge me the family trip that caused the delay. 🙂
Lisa and I celebrated our 12th anniversary on Sunday (yes, April Fool’s Day) and we took the kids down to Ocean City, NJ for a few days. It was a bit cold, but we had fun and that’s exactly what we needed. As you can see by the self-taken picture on the right, we’re smiling. This month we have stories by Jeff Vandermeer and Michael De Kler. Artwork will be settled shortly and we’ve already received a great review from Tangent Online. |

I like your icon
I just bought a Live is Good t-shirt in Ocean City this weekend. Never saw them before, but I liked the guy with the guitar. Actually, I really liked the Peanut Butter & Jelly one, but they only had it in a little girl size. No PB&J for the grown-ups, unfortunately 😉

Thanks! That’s the best picture of the lot. Aidan and Eamonn kept making faces or looking away for most of them. 🙂

It’s good to see you smiling.

You forgot to mention how COLD we were in that picture and for much of the weekend. Brrrrr. Still, fun was had. Shopping was done. Fudge was eaten. But next time we head for the shore in March, remind me that there are wiser footwear choices than these…

Happy anniversary! I was thinking of you guys on Sunday — I’ll always remember your wedding fondly because it was the reason Ray and I ended up together. We didn’t start going out until a couple months later, but I gave him a ride home that day after the festivities and we started hanging out a lot from then on, and the rest is history. 🙂

And don’t forget the Peeps we had passed around on silver platters. They rank right up there with finding a lifelong partner, don’t they? 😉

Actually, I’d forgotten about that. What I do remember most is standing out in the cold for way too long while you guys had pictures taken (Edward lent me his coat because I didn’t have one, since I had not expected to be outside for that long), and also you running away to hide when the Chicken Dance (or some other similar horrible traditional wedding song) started playing. I seem to remember a conga line, too, but I’m trying to block that out.
And I spent a lot of it chatting with Ray, of course. 🙂
