April Issue of Clarkesworld Magazine

With all the problems in March, the art for the magazine was the last thing on my mind. I had an artist in mind for April, but I never heard back from him. Perhaps some other time. Fortunately, I have a nice list of art that I wanted for future issues, so I just moved one up. April’s art is by Natalie Shau, who has to her credits the cover of Fantasy Magazine #4.

Call for Artists and Designers

  1. Oh wow. That’s incredibly creepy and beautiful.

    • I don’t normally try to match the cover art up with the issue, but both of the stories this month were somewhat dark and this piece just felt the same way. Glad you like it.

  2. Holy christ, that’s gorgeous. I need to subscribe to this magazine.

    • Yeah … I jus realized it’s an online magazine. What can I say, I’m a genius.

      • 🙂 Yeah, but we also do a signed limited chapbook of each issue and an anthology every 12 months.

        • I went to the bookstore site and saw that volumes one and two are listed as being available for pre-order. Is that current information, or hsve some of the chapbooks already come out?

          • There was a delay in production and I’m trying to catch up now. They may actually be published out of order because of international signings. I’ll be listing the others for preorder as soon as we catch up.

  4. Incredibly gorgeous, haunting art. Next month’s is both evocative and a hoot. It’s wonderful to see such attention paid to the artwork. Well done.
