Still running myself crazy catching up on orders, emails, and listing books that were signed or picked up at Readercon. (Yes, the rest of the report will be done.) I somehow forgot to mark Best of the Rest #4 as in stock, so hopefully that can make it’s way into the list now.

Tim Powers continues to take the top spot and sales of his recent chapbook, The Bible Repairman have started to pick up too. By the way, Three Days to Never is out of print at Subterranean.

And now back to the boxes…

Friday at Readercon

Readercon was excellent. I did a lot of legwork before the con and arranged signings with several authors. This required me to abandoned my trusted wreck of a car and borrow my in-law’s van. We packed over 20 big boxes of books, luggage, two kids, CDs and my wife and I into the van and headed off Friday morning. 5 hours later we were at the hotel. Last year it was 6.5 hours, so we were quite pleased. After several trips between the van and room, it was off to registration.

The combination of the 4th of July and Readercon significantly cut the number of shipping days down this week. Sales numbers are lower, but the placement of the first three books probably would have held on a full week.

Readercon was great and somewhat exhausting. I took over 20 boxes of books with me for the assorted signings I worked out in advance. I’m catching up on all the stuff that piled up while we were gone, so I’ll post more either late tonight or tomorrow.

Three Days to Never

After feeling a bit stressed earlier in the day, things became decidedly better when the UPS guy showed up. Three Days to Never (the signed limited Subterranean Press edition) arrived today. I’m packing up preorders tonight, doing all sorts of Readercon prep work, and then I’m reading this….

Readercon folks: If you want one, I can bring it there. 🙂

Not much to say this time around… I’m heading out to my parents house with the kids. Their town’s fireworks are in the park two doors down from their house, so I get to show the kids what a bad fireworks show is like. Of course, they’ll love it anyway.

More good reading…

More good magazine days! Several long- awaited issues appeared:

and Fantasy #3 should be available this weekend. YAY!
