Night Shade added Bank’s The Algebraist to 2005 Lineup

This is one I am certainly looking forward to…

Night Shade Books officially started taking orders for Iain M. Banks The Algebraist yesterday. I placed my order tonight and just added them to the store’s catalog. There will be a trade edition and a signed limited edition of 250 copies.

This is one of those authors who has too much work out of print here in the US. I wish someone would rectify that.

Cemetery Dance Announces Signature Series and new books

Cemetery Dance announced a couple of books and a new “Signature Series” today.

Here are the details about the Signature Series:

New Issue of Inhuman Magazine Coming Soon

One of the more interesting magazine debuts in 2004 was Allen Koszowski’s INHUMAN. Allen just emailed me to let me know that he’ll be signing and shipping our copies shortly. He was also kind enough to send along the table of contents. Looks like this will be another good one.

Two new books from Subterranean Press

Subterranean Press announced two new books today:

GHOSTS OF ALBION – INITIATION by Christopher Golden and Amber Benson (hardcover)
Contains THREE never before collected adventures. Included will be the two scripts for the original BBC animated serial, a Ghosts of Albion short story, and an introduction (by Amber) and afterworld (by Chris). All of this will be wrapped up in the gorgeous black and white artwork of Tom Canty.

This book is a signed numbered edition. We have made arrangements to get the matching numbers to all our copies of the first book, ASTRAY.

VOLUNTARY COMMITTAL by Joe Hill (chapbook)
A 20,000 word novella about what happens when Alice goes down the rabbit hole and never comes back. It’s a very dark, horrific tour de force, just a taste of the skills which will be on display later this year when Joe’s first full length collection is published.
