King Rat Limited Edition – YAY!

Earthling Publications has announced that they are publishing a signed and numbered limited edition of China Mieville’s King Rat. This book will be slipcased and bound in bonded leather. Unlike other Mieville limited editions, only 400 of these will be made. It will be illustrated by Richard Kirk and the introduction will be by Clive Barker.

Earthling does really good work and I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed everything they’ve published. (and that I’ve been able to get my hands on) The production quality will suit the book.

Anyhow, full details are now on our website at:

I can’t wait.

Best Sellers for November 7th 2004

Missed the last one, but here’s our stats for the week ending November 7th, 2004:

Top Books:
1. Viator by Lucius Shepard
2. Going Postal by Terry Pratchett (signed)
3. Freaks by Brian Lumley
4. Trujillo by Lucius Shepard (signed)
5. Death Poems by Thomas Ligotti

This past week Trujillo got a bump back into the top five mainly from being paired up with Viator.

Top Magazines:
1. Asimovs
2. Third Alternative
3. Cemetery Dance
4. Alchemy
5. Interzone

Asimovs makes it’s first appearance in our top 5 magazines list. Given the slow sales on magazines this week, it’s not as big a deal as it might seem.

Total Contest/Promotion Entries:
17 – Anne Bishop – Dreams Made Flesh
3 – Steven Erikson – Deadhouse Gates
2 – R. Scott Bakker – The Warrior-Prophet

This is a new addition to our stats list. I’m trying to expand the number of contests and promotions we run at
and I thought people might appreciate knowing their odds of winning.
